This year’s Educational Trust Auction was a huge success. It started out with a tribute to Cameron Garnick who had been the auctioneer for many, many years. As most of you know Cameron passed away last year. A song was sung by two of his daughters and there was not a dry eye in the place... Russell True then passed the “auction baton” over to a terrific young man by the Name of Will Ferguson from yet another long standing dude ranching family, his parents Bill and Karen are owners of Eaton’s Ranch. The bidding was lively and we were able to raise $18,065.00 thanks to Will, the many talented spotters and the beautiful and talented “Vanna Whites”. Of course none of this could happen without all of your generosity. Other monies raised for the Educational trust: Squares Board - $1,185.00 and the saddle raffle raised $4000.00(thank you Doug and Garey for all of your hard work). Rita Cote from Tanque Verde Ranch was the winner of the saddle however she donated it back to the Educational Trust and it was auctioned off. Again thank to all the donors, the bidders, the spotters, the Vannas, Will Ferguson and the Educational Trust Board… Total monies raised; $23,270.00.
